working\ hard\ or\ hardly\ working
1. (working hard or hardly working) (8386↑, 1552↓)
Funny play on words used by successful management types. Can be combined with finger guns for the ultimate combo.

Supervisor: Hey Joe\! Working hard or hardly working? Hahahaha. Joe: Hahahahaha\! You're the best boss ever\!

2. (working hard or hardly working) (339↑, 123↓)
A pathetic attempt at word play and stock phrase of the middle-management careerist asswipe. Often accompanied by finger guns. Bang bang.

Supervisor: You working hard, Joe? Joe: Yes. Supervisor: Working hard or hardly working? Hahaha\! Joe: GO FUCK YOURSELF.

3. (Working Hard or hardly working) (24↑, 37↓)
A [lame] [pickup line] used in the office or at work in an attempt to [hook up] with or [hit on] a coworker. Mainly used by males trying to hit on female coworkers. Sometimes used to break the ice.

Boy: Hey baby, working hard or hardly working? Girl: Go away thank you. I've heard that one twice before at this job and several times at my other jobs.

4. (working hard or hardly working) (121↑, 134↓)
similar to [are we having fun yet?], a ridiculous and stupid phrase coined by would-be witty people who cannot be funny so they toss around catch phrases they hear.

working hard, or hardly working? ha\! you are an imbacil. we reserve the right to refuse service. we are exercising that right as of now. get the fuck out of my store.

5. (working hard or hardly working) (16↑, 36↓)
singlehandedly, the stupidest phrase i have ever heard. it is not funny when used to a student and it is not funny when used to a coworker. you are not witty, you are a dumbass. first off, there is no way that you can in any way compare working hard to hardly working. how can you confuse the two? you can't. second off, if you have in some way found a way to a management position and use this phrase, someone in your office is going to send you a big bag of poop. thirdly, it is not a pick up line. a pick up line is, "hey baby, do you have any black in you? you want some?" this does not compare.

fitzgerald: hey sexy mama, working hard or hardly working? helga: go fuck yourself. fitzgerald: okay.
